Residential Zone

The Residential Zone is the living area of the athletes and team officials. It also includes the CGA office spaces, the Polyclinic and the Casual Dining. It has been divided into four zones, named after four unique folk art styles found in India, which can be identified by a colour and an image: Warli (Red), Gond (Blue), Madhubani (Green) and Sanjhi (Purple).
A total of 34 residential towers, with 1,168 apartments comprising 4,008 bedrooms, will house the athletes and team officials. Each apartment has two-five bedrooms and, unlike in previous Games, each bedroom will accommodate two residents.
All apartments are air-conditioned and have been provided with facilities like lockable cupboards, televisions, refrigerators, electric kettles, washing machines, irons and ironing boards.
Resident Centres:
Nine Resident Centres are located in close proximity to the towers. Each centre will serve 650-900 residents, except Resident Centre 5, which will serve approximately 1,300 residents. They will provide a variety of services and facilities to the residents, such as TV lounge, games room, beverage-dispensing and ice machines, pay phones and internet café cum work area. The friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Resident Centres will handle all queries and issues of the residents.
CGA Offices:
The CGA Offices will provide each CGA with work, administration, and medical spaces. Dependent on the CGA’s delegation size, a CGA Office may consist of a Chef de Mission Office, a Meeting Room, a Medical Room and a Physio Room.
CGA Services Centre:
The CGA Services Centre will provide the Chefs de Mission and their authorised representatives with a ‘one-stop-shop’ facility, where they can conduct all business related to their CGA. The CGF is also represented in the CGA Services Centre. Services available at the various desks/offices of the CGA Services Centre include: Information Desk, CGA Relations Office – Regional Desks, Finance Desk, Technology Desk, Ceremonies Desk, Transport Desk, Catering Office, etc.
Sports Information Centre:
The Sports Information Centre will provide all essential information relating to training, competition and results for each of the 17 sports.
Religious Services Centre:
The Religious Services Centre will provide prayer rooms and facilities for the following religions: Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. In addition, it will provide informal religious support, spiritual counselling and meditation.
Polyclinic:
The Polyclinic is a multi-disciplinary medical facility, which will be the main provider of medical services to athletes and team officials throughout the period of the Games.
Casual Dining:
Casual Dining will provide an alternative dining experience to Main Dining, where popular local, regional and international dishes will be available. It will have a fun, al fresco environment, with a range of diverse drinks, snacks and fast food on offer.
Also, six coffee carts will be present at various locations in the Residential Zone. In addition, two mobile snack carts will appear at different ‘surprise’ locations each day, offering simple yet tasty Indian/international snacks.
